These are funniest questions I had to answer during my time in the US. I can actually say, I am now a well traveled individual all thanks to finding cheap airfare tickets online. I am a native of London, England and I have traveled to many countries in Europe and also attended Universities in the state of Maryland and Georgia. Not to mention I have visited more places than an average person my age, meeting numerous people from all walks of life.

Attending College/University in another country for me was an exciting experience, not only did I finish with a degree it also gave me the chance to explore the world and network.
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t go to college in the US to get an education...I just wanted to travel and see new places, the education was a bonus. I was always online looking for cheap airfare tickets now I have strong networks in USA, France, Italy, U.K.
Back to those stupid questions - When I was asked these questions I always responded with, “Have you ever left the country?” (United States), most people answered "No" and some had never left their state. Texas is like five times bigger than the United Kingdom give or take, so it’s understandable why some people never leave the US. However, if you are an ambitious person and willing to seek and obtain a global network for your future endeavors, please understand you must travel.

Discover cheap airfare tickets and travel the world?

The best day of the month for most people is PAY DAY. Let's take the average yearly wage to be $28,000.
That is a $2330 monthly budget. I would get my calculator and try to calculate how you should save money, but I now life is tough and living pay check to pay check is the reality for some.
Finding cheap airfare tickets can be annoying, especially when prices does not suit your budget.

But don't you want to squeeze at least 1-2 overseas trips in one calendar year?

That sounds like a healthy work-life balance to me. Below is a breakdown of my most recent trip from Atlanta to London.

therefore...

Average monthly wage $2330

$2330 - $750 = $1580

This is enough to eat, pay rent for the month. However, I'll be honest, you will have to sacrifice some spending habits to explore the world. but not as much if the return flights were regularly priced.
Regular Price
Transatlantic flight $1000 (give or take a couple hundred)
Hotel/Air Bnb $250
SAVED $1250 - 750 = $500

  2. Very insightful! One must not under estimate the importance of networking globally or at least regionally. Maybe your next article should be about how to implement the gap year in the US! :)

    Nice job buddy! ;)
